Cox’s Bazar- Longest Sea Beach of the World:
The beach is recognized as the longest unbroken sandy and shark free beach in the world with a length of 120 kilometers at a stretch. Cox's Bazar is tourist capital of Bangladesh, which is just a perfect place to make your holidays with family and friends.
Miles of golden sands, towering cliffs, suffering wave, rare conch shells colorful pagodas and Buddhist temples, the tribes with their environmental wisdom and spirituality and delicious seafood are some of the wonderful aspects of Cox's Bazar. Near the beach front, there are hundreds of shops selling souvenirs and beach accessories. You can see hills, green valleys and the sea all at once.
Inani Beach
It is considered as the finest beach of Bangladesh and famous for its rock and coral boulders. Here you can see the beauty of hills in one side and the beauty of the sea on the other side. Views of sunset and sunrise from this beach are a memorable lifetime experience. The clean blue and shark free water is suitable for bathing and swimming without any fear. The water stored in between stones accommodates small sea-fish, carbs, snail and many more.
Kuakata - Daughter of the Sea
Kuakata, locally known as 'Sagar Kannya' (Daughter of the Sea), is a rare scenic beauty spot in the southernmost tip of Bangladesh. You can enjoy both sunrise and sunset in this calm and quiet beach. A truly virgin beach decked with lines of coconut trees, clean sandy beach of blue Bay and green forest. The beach is 30 km in length and 6 km in breadth.
Sundarbans
The Sundarbans, one of the most attractive places in Bangladesh, is the largest mangrove forest in the world. Visitors feel great enthusiasm and fascination to come to this nature's bounties of exceptional character. The forest is a World Heritage Site for its extra-ordinary vegetation and diverse ecological balance. No other tidal forests can match it in terms of diversity. Wonderful flora and fauna, divergent wildlife, paramount beauty of green canopy, thousands of meandering streams, rivers, creeks made this forest one of the great ecotourism attractions. The forest is famous as the primitive abode of the Royal Bengal Tiger, the strongest, and most beautiful wild animal of the world.
Paharpur Buddhist Monastery
Somapura Mahavihara, known as Paharpur Buddhist Monastery and a UNESCO World Heritage site built during the Pala dynasty in 7th century, is considered as a base of Buddhism in this part of the world. It is believed that Lord Buddha spent some time here and preached the people. The scholars opine that this was a university at that time. Site museum houses antiquities and artifacts that prove the glorious civilization of the past university.
Sixty Dome Mosque
One of the largest Sultanate mosque in Bangladesh and one of the most impressive Muslim monuments in the whole of the Indian subcontinent is the Sixty Dome Mosque. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most archaeological and historical mosque in Bangladesh.
